Australian oil and gas company Santos reported a half-year net profit after tax of $A1.66 billion ($US1.167 billion), up 230%. Its underlying profit was $A1.8 billion ($US1.267 billion), up 300%.
After a merger with Oil Search completed in December, Santos operates across Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Himalayas and North America.
